google’s likely to use “GSRank” to spot fake reviews now apparently

“backed by Google.. Developed at the University of Illinois, a new spam-ranking algorithm called GSRank—Group Spam Rank to filter out fraudulent reviews. In fact, it “consistently outperforms all existing methods” according to the team behind it.”

I just Google searched for “fake review stars on google” as you did in the video. There are no stars under your listing even though it is a position #1

A few results down there is however a listing with a star review under it, poor bastards only have 2 stars though.

Any idea why they arent showing up for your listing any more?

I’d love to know what the risk to cost benefit is for sites like the Express. Surely they are only getting a few hundred quid a month tops for links like that. I also wonder if the head honchos know what risk they are running doing it.

Can I please ask though, what do you mean by “so the buyer can rank/brand parasites in the SERPs”? I see they are deep linking to a page with a number of different brands on it. Do you mean just to get this type of page ranking?

I got this exact email, agreed to work with them and publish their article on my site but I insisted on a reciprocal link from their blog. I put their article up, had poor communication and then waited for my link from their blog and nothing. Emailed a couple of times and eventually got an answer saying it would go up soon. I waited and waited and eventually removed their link from my site.

I do know though that this service is completely automated and from an agency (dont want to name names) hired by bingo.org.uk that I considered using myself but after the experience I had from a publishers perspective decided not to.

Sky not only buy links and rip off Google et al. They also rip off the general public at large; lest not forget News Corp hacking murdered girls mobile phones. Hope they burn in hell. Idiot bastards.
